Various descriptions had been created using different tools and were not linked to one another. The overall view of the information systems and the supporting infrastructure was outdated and incomplete. A new, systematic way to model the entire environment was required so that essential matters could be described and the comprehensive set of descriptions utilized in development planning. At the same time, the content of the model needed to be updated.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We developed a method and a descriptive approach for the client for modeling the range from business processes to servers. Content for the new model was gathered by interviewing the client&#8217;s experts, and from the client&#8217;s old models and other descriptions and lists in various formats. We built automation for the automatic conversion and reporting of source materials. The work utilized the ArchiMate notation and the Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect tool.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The client received a modernized tool for managing enterprise architecture and leading development planning. Various separate descriptions were replaced by a single model in one tool that describes a cohesive whole, which the client&#8217;s own personnel will be able to maintain in the future. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The client&#8217;s enterprise architecture description was not up to date.
